Day 24: 4.23.11

workity work this morning!

had half a char sui bao and some hot honey green tea to start off my day.

snackage = wheat thins.

then my late lunch was half a lo mai gai (sticky rice with meat) and water.
but i also had a craving for something crunchy so i went and got a bag of "dirty's sea salt chips".

Got home around 7, and made some kimchi rice noodle soup for din din.


then it got kinda bad: was feeling a little bleh, so i gave in and had a little scoop of ice cream and opened my bag of Munchies. So bad to snack while watching a show, because i ended up eating like half the bag, when all i wanted was like a handful. oh wells.

today not so bueno, too many carbs and bad things!

Day 23: 4.22.11


Happy Earth Day!!!

woke up kinda late.

had left overs for lunch before heading to the gym.
spaghetti with chicken and apple sausages and broccoli.

did a solid 30 min abs workout. my Russian Twists sets, Roman Chair, and Crunches on the ab machine thingy.

Gave myself a little sweet treat and got a little lemon square (like 160 calories) with my free iced coffee from Starbucks!

then off to work. mmm wheat thins.

I'm always hungry after work. Probably not the best choice of food, but i had 3 chicken wings and some noodle rolls with siracha and hoisin sauce. so good, but so bad, especially at 10pm.

DAY 22: 4.21.11


slept in today, but still feeling sicks.

really wanted some pho / soup so i made my own with what i found in the fridge.
rice noodles, chicken broth, cut up some left over steak, lettuce, cilantro, and green onion. add some siracha and hoisin and good to go!

then i had a handful of original wheat thins in the afternoon.

Was off to the Runway 2011 fashion show, so i made a ham sandwich to go. ate half of it.

After the show, Kathy, Grace, and I had a late dinner at PPQ. got the 5 Spice Chicken Noodle Soup. (prob not good to eat fried when im sick, and prob not the best for the "diet" either. oh well, it's tasty and Ive been having beef lately.)

then we celebrated Shirley's 21st. Corona :/

Day 21: 4.20.11

an okie dokie day.

woke up feeling ~70% back to normal, which is good.

had a yogurt for breakfast, and a half a hot dog because my dad made it for me.

snacked on some apple cinnamon cherrios at work and had lots of water.

lunch was my half a "lo mai gai" (sticky rice with meat wrapped in a banana leaf) and water.

after work i hit the gym and went kinda crazy. beasted it. (dunno if it's good to push myself when im sick, but i'm okay for the most part i guess.)

i had kinda make shift pho and 2 chicken wings for dinner. i made rice noodles, cilantro, and a couple steak cube chunks, with siracha and chicken broth to satisfy my soup craving.

Day 20: 4.19.11

crazy day.

woke up all congested and coughing.

saw the doctor and, yup, SICKKKK!!!

picked up my medicine and then got some "pay daan sow yuk jook" to eat.

so i had lots of jook for lunch and some water.

then i had a peanut butter sandwich before i went to the gym.

(yes, the sickly person is crazy enough to still go to the gym. but trust me, if i didn't have to go 3x a week i wouldn't have left the house.)

dinner was left over chow mein, and i also had a small bowl of jook. and powerade to get my elctrolytes back.

and to get my body back to normal, i took my cough syrup, and hit the sheets early.

Day 19: 4.18.11

didn't eat too much today, due to being pretty sick still. no pictures.

got up around 5am, and had a bowl of rice and chicken broth.

then around 11, finished the rest of my Chicken Noodle Soup with another piece of toast.

got ready to hit the gym around 2 and had a chunky peanut butter sandwich.

got a tall green tea from Starbucks, and added 3 little packs of honey to it. and then hit the gym for an hour and then home for din din.

had whatever pops cooked up: rice, mix of zucchini, wonton, pork, carrots, and chinese sausage. also some steak cubes and green beans.

Day 18: 4.17.11

Today was not good at all.

Was super sick and slept all day.

had some Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup with a piece of dry toast when i woke up.

then had lots of water throughout the day as i was in and out of sleep. and some cough attacks here and there yanno.

dinner i had some chicken broth and fun (thick rice noodles). and a little bit of the fish and green beans the rest of the fam were eating.

then it was sleep sleep sleep water sleep sleeeeeeepppppp

Day 17: 4.16.11

short post ...

had a fat free strawberry banana yogurt for breakfast.

all bad, but got some cheese fries from Great Steak to go with the other half of my Bulgogi Burger for lunch at work.

had dinner at home: Rice, chicken, and green beans. prob wasnt too healthy healthy, but at least it wasn't take out.

add some water and that was my food day.

Day 16: 4.15.11



had a cousin's SF day!

had a sushi lunch at Sakana Bune. Pretty healthy besides the one fried roll i had. washed it all down with the house green tea.

then we hit Teaway yet again, which means another milk tea. LOL

worked 4 to close. and then off to Sudachi for GRo reunion!

not to buenos: Bulgogi Burger and wedge fries with spicy sauce, and some drinks. :|

Day 15: 4.14.11

this is gonna be a quick post. not too much today.

had brunch at the grandparents' : some home cooking of chow mien, wonton, and chicken.

a late lunch/ snack was (not too diet friendly) Teaway milk tea, popcorn chicken, and half a Viet sandwich. mm mm good!

finished the other half of that sandwich on my work break.

then it was off the diet wagon for sure ... took the cousin out at night to the cow. enough said.

Day 14: 4.13.11

had half a hot dog for breakfast because that was the only thing i could grab to eat on the go.

had a salad for lunch - green leaf lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, shrimp, and fat free ranch dressing.

snacked on some pita chips.

hit the gym for an hour. mainly roman chair and arm curls.

dinner was what my grandpa cooked up: deliciousness! can never not eat whatever he makes!
spaghetti, roast, corn, and salad. :)

and since my fam from Seattle came in to town, had a black sesame milk tea from Teaway, with red bean and tapioca.

Day 13: 4.12.11

Today was Taco Tuesday.

made a buncha shrimp spring rolls. had like 3 for breakfast / brunch / morning fuel.

then Kathy and I made fish tacos and fresh salsa for lunch. Not too unhealthy, pan fried beer battered Tilapia in a flour tortilla with fresh veggies - salsa and lettuce.

Now is for the downhill spiral of going off the diet for the rest of the day:

it was free scoop day at Ben & Jerry's today, and we got a scoop of Mint Chocolate Chunk on a sugar cone. :) Delicious.

Then our late dinner was burgers and fries at Burger Meister. Definitely not diet friendly, but absolutely satisfying!!! I got a Western Burger: onion rings, bacon, cheddar cheese, and bbq sauce.

the upside: at least i drank water. LOL

Day 12: 4.11.11


had half a sandwich for breakfast ... in a rush on the way to work.

ate a turkey and lettuce sandwich for lunch. with a cutie orange. and water.

had a salad with roasted chicken for lunch (from SFSU) with balsamic vinegrette.

then i beasted at the gym for an hour. went crazy on abs and arms.

then it got kinda bad: got some half off sushi at Tokyo Express. shirmp tempura roll and spider roll -- all they had left. 2 of my faves, but not diet friendly bc theyre deep fried.

then got a mango and coconut milk dessert at Mango Island. not good to eat at like 1130pm. *sighhh oh wells.

Day 11: 4.10.11

Today = diet disaster!!!

Today was definitely family Sunday, but kicked my diet out the window. no buenos.

woke up at around 1130, ate my left over pesto and chicken from yesterday and got my vitamin C with some tasty orange juice.

then i made some salsa for a snack. good stuff! tomatoes, onion, jalepeno, corn, lemon juice, and salt. chop chop chop and mix mix mix.

then it got all bad: had a Teaway craving. So i went with the mama and bros to run errands and get Teaway. BADDDD cause we all got a crepe and a drink. I got an original crepe with nutella strawberry and a black sesame milk tea with red bean and tapioca. --> happy tummy but sad diet!

dinner was okay ... got all the food groups covered and didnt over eat. Dad made steak with onions and mushrooms, snap peas, and rice.

DAY 10: 4.9.10

I guess today was a half good day - all up til dinner time haha.

had a mug of honey green tea and 2 little blueberry muffins for breakfast.

Lunch was pasta salad with turkey meatballs, and a lemonade from Boudins. I also had a "cutie" mandarin orange. :)
Dinner was DELICIOUS, but when the wagon tipped over. LOL Had the dry fried chicken (diced) from San Tung and pesto pasta with seafood ala my DPIC Kathy's madre! very yummy! Definitely satisfied my San Tung chicken craving that i've been having for the past couple weeks. haha

Day 9: 4.8.11

today was good.

had half a grilled chicken breast sandwich for breakfast. (2 strips of chicken, lettuce, one slice of bread, a little bit of fat free ranch)

lunch was some fried rice my mom made - probably not too healthy at all. rice, egg, carrots, lop cheung (Chinese sausage). I also got a Venti Iced Passion Fruit Tazo Tea from Starbucks and had a some pita chips.


then my late dinner was a grilled chicken and lettuce sandwich and a Tall Iced Coffee from Starbucks.

i'd say not too bad. Although it could definitely be way better! Tomorrow is a new day!

DAY 8: 4.7.11

what a long day!

Actually was able to eat breakfast (at an odd time of 1030am, but it worked out for my hours) and had a bowl of chicken jook.

Then after work #1, I had some of my salad and my turkey meatball and lettuce sandwich.

Hit the gym for some light cardio and leg lifts on the roman chair.

Snacked on some pita chips at work #2, then afterwards finished my salad. (grilled chicken and pasta salad- lots of tomatoes over lettuce)

then it was off the wagon time ... lol (this really isnt good!)
- tried a crepe at Teaway Express. it was quite tasty - strawberry crepe w. nutella, banana, and whipped cream.

- Jacks: taco and fries -___-

Gotta really kick it into SB mode next week and be good!

Day 7: 4.6.11

'twas a good day today.
(minus all the cough attacks that is. hate getting sick!!!)

had some chicken noodle soup for breakfast (dad made it ... probably progresso). and a cup of honey green tea in the morning.

Turkey meatballs, with lettuce, a sprinkle of pasta salad- lots of the veggies for lunch. with a Grande Iced Passion Fruit Tazo Tea from Starbucks.

Snacked on some plain pita chips at work.

And since i didnt finish all of my lunch, i finished the last couple bites before my workout at the gym. Went crazy on abs and semi on arms today.

Had a late dinner, or a TJs chicken fajita burrito around 9, post workout.

--- add in some water here and there and a couple cough drops and that was my day.

Day 6: 4.5.11

another successful food day. :)

ate half a banana on the way to work, in order to take cold med not on an empty stomach.

that tided me over for the most part until my break at 2, w
hen i got to eat my pasta salad.

Got off work at 4 and ate my salad with grilled chicken for lunch around 430pm.


beasted it at the gym! sweaty sweaty, and left feeling it in the arms and legs again.

Dinner probably wasnt the healthiest possible, but it's whatever pasta my dad made. I just picked out more veggies and just filled a bowl for a proper serving, and didnt get more. (garlic butter pasta with green beans, mushrooms, and chicken apple sausage)


DAY 5: 4.4.11

Today was a good day. W.E.G. day for sure!

after work, I went home and started brainstorming what foods i could get to make lunch for the rest of the week. landed on past salad and turkey meatballs. :) YUM.

actually had time for breakfast, and my mom made me a chicken salad sandwich.

then lunch was my peanut sauce pasta salad.
hit the gym before dinner ... intense hour workout on everything. left all sorts of sore, but feeling good.

dinner was healthy for the most part - ASK sushi date at Sakana. rock n roll, negihama roll, alaska roll, sake on top, and one bad one - a deep fried spicy california roll type thing.

and then the splurge to satisfy a craving was Polly Ann's single scoop of Coconut Pineapple ice cream on a sugar cone. so good, but so badddd. (let's hope the million laughs we had, helped work off some of the ice cream, LOL)

DAY 4: 4.3.11

Today was not very good at all. LOL

the afterwards of the night prior messed me up pretty bad, all i wanted was to sleep.

all i had in the day time was some water, a cup of jello, and one wonton (bc thats all i found in the pot after my brother got to it.).

But dinner time i was good again. Id say i made an okay choice: Beef Pho from Americana. I could only finish half though, it was super filling! And then my grandma treated us to Teaway, and i got a hot almond milk tea.

DAY 3: 4.2.11

Today started off good, but ended totally off the wagon. LOL

had wonton and some homemade peanut noodle salad for lunch.

then had sushi for dinner. Alaska Roll (salmon and avocado roll with tobiko), Negihama Roll (Hamachi with green onion roll), and a couple pieces of Tiger Roll (soft shell crab roll topped with bbq eel). and some really good rice tea @ Fujiyama-Ya.

here's where it all went bad: went out at night --> drank and 2am Jacks run. no buenos.

DAY 2: 4/1/11


Dia Numero Dos:

Today went well. Had chicken salad lettuce cups with pita chips for lunch. then got a honeydew milk at Teaway with miscellaneous jellies / tapioca. (this was probably the worst thing of the day)

BUT since i had a late lunch (at like 145pm), i ate dinner really odd as well. Hit the gym again for a 30 min abs and arms workout, then was off to work. had my break at 8pm ish, and ate part of half a turkey sourdough sandwich from SF Soup Company. Finished it up in the car on the way home around 9pm.

wonder what tomorrow will be ...

DAY 1: 3.31.11


So today was the start of my Diet Month.

i did well, for the most part, but ended the day kinda poorly.

Had a some lettuce, chicken salad, 2 sour dough slices, and some fat free Italian dressing for lunch. Then i hit the gym HARD for an hour and a half. Beasted it, but i definitely felt it afterwards. No pain, no gain right?!?!
Then i made a salad with ice burg lettuce, shredded carrots, some croutons, and fat free ranch dressing for dinner. and had a couple pork chop pieces with it. and a grass jelly drink.

Now for the bad: snacked on some Veggie Root Chips from TJs after dinner. (not too bad, but still chips) Then i had a half chicken salad sandwich before going out for some dancin and drinkin. 3 drinks = no buenos. til tomorrow ...
